Barry Klein, owner and designer of yarns and patterns for Trendsetter Yarns, has been involved in the fiber industry his entire life.  Barry began his journey in the knitting world by working in his mother’s knitting store.  Barry’s love for creating things by hand, paired with specialized training, enabled him to custom design patterns and create knitwear for store clients and the movie industry.  

Barry and his mother started Trendsetter with the idea of bringing the most exciting texture and fashion yarns to the knitting customer.  Trendsetter yarns was started 28 years ago and Barry continues to guide the company and create yarn that truly sets the trends. Over the past few years Cardiff Cashmere (luxury cashmere yarns from Italy), Lana Grossa (largest and most successful yarn company in Europe) and now Rooster Yarns (UK based designs with luxury yarns from South America) have all been added in creating the NW Trendsetter Yarn Group. 

In addition to being a published author of five knitting books, Barry is an accomplished TV knitting personality, a knitting spokesperson/teacher at Stitches Events, has been featured in Vogue Live, has been featured in countless store Trunk Shows, and has been a voted member of “Top 10 Men Who Knit Throughout History”.
